Britain, as a nation, is a nation of die-hard dog lovers; here at the Fairfax & Favor HQ, we truly embrace our passion for puppies.
Our office is adequately-staffed with individuals of the ‘waggy’ variety, and with “Puppy Friday” now an actual day in the working weekday calendar, it’s official, we’re barking mad about our four-legged friends.
Many of you, our fellow Fido fanatics, are overjoyed at the news of the launch of our brand-new Dog Collars. However, we do have a bit of a confession.
You may or may not have noticed that these collars are described as “novelty”. The reason is… technically these collars weren’t actually destined for the necks of our darling doggos, and as you may have noticed, they look suspiciously like our popular Sennowe belt. The answer is simply, well, because they are!
Let us elaborate. A few months back, an order was placed for a large quantity of Sennowe belts in XS. Upon arrival of said belts, it was immediately noticeable that somewhere along the line, there had been a GIANT muck up. To sum it up, the belts would barely fit a small toddler, let alone a grown woman.
In these situations, sometimes the best thing to do is to laugh. And laugh we did, whilst secretly attempting to conceal the fact that it was in fact a rather expensive mistake to laugh about. If we weren’t laughing, we’d be crying. There was a running joke that the miniscule belts made fantastic dog collars.
Ding! Cue lightbulb moment.
With no time to waste, James from the warehouse was promptly appointed as the head of “Operation D.O.G”. This involved making adjustments to each belt, in order to make the pawfect (couldn’t help it) doggy fashion accessory. Prototypes approved by office dogs Amber, Chaos, Crumble and Pippa, the Sennowe Dog Collars were set for lift off.
Although, the collars can’t technically be used as conventional dog collars due to the significant lack of D-ring, they are a glamorous addition for the fashion-conscious dogs amongst you. Think, less “Rough-and-tumble” and more “Poochie Couture”.
And there we have it! Our first unintentional range of Dog Collars. Please tag us in any doggy photos on our socials, we would love to see our collars in action.
If that isn’t enough excitement for one day, how about winning a brand-new Dog Collar, plus the chance for your canine friend to be featured in our next AW18 campaign, as well as an overnight stay in a cutesy dog-friendly Norfolk hotel AND a pair of boots of your choice… sounds too good to be true, doesn’t it?
All you have to do is send a recent picture of your dog(s) to firstname.lastname@example.org, and cross your fingers (and paws).
