Fairfax & Favor’s SS22 collection is fabulously fierce yet elegantly refined. Celebrating the rich hues and vivid patterns of our natural world, the great British brand loved by the sovereign style stars of the royal family presents a sumptuous new line that covers all bases, from splashing in puddles to hobnobbing at the polo.
Fairfax & Favor style staples remain paramount to the collection, with known and adored icons refreshed in covetable new colours. One of these recurring fan favourites is the Mini Windsor. As its name suggests, this bag is packed with regal elegance. Carry by it’s top handle for when you’re scintillating on the social scene or use the shoulder strap when in a more relaxed setting. This year, the sophisticated shape finds itself immersed in a marvellous mango, a key hue from the latest Hermes ready-to-wear line. Imbuing a sunny disposition, a bright and bold bag will liven up any outfit, no matter the unpredictable British weather.
In other noble newness, a delectable shade debut of cornflower blue makes an uplifting appearance. Reminiscent of sunny days, this beautiful blue hue can be found splashed upon a myriad of styles; some new and some familiar. The colour is a firm favourite of Catherine, Duchess of Cambridge, who has donned the shade on countless occasions. Her 2019 visit to Northern Ireland in her Mulberry cape-coat would pair perfectly with the Burford bag making the ideal ensemble for exploring new grounds during glamorous weekend away.
Fabulous flats ruled the runways this season, with Chanel, Gucci and Dior opting for modest soles in favour of sky high stilettos or punk princess platforms, just in time for Fairfax & Favor to present an exciting new style. The Newmarket is a suede slip-on loafer with decadent horsebit detailing; a winning recipe for easy chic. Eradicating the fears of wobbles on cobblestone streets or falling from risky moves on the dancefloor, these pumps certainly don’t fall flat when it comes to style. Recently, Lady Amelia Windsor has pledged allegiance to going heelless. A poster-girl for refined elan, Amelia has proved that dressing practically for the outdoors can be perfectly pretty.
Throughout the line, you will notice a wildly chic theme calling your attention; leopard print. The pattern that truly never goes out of style finds its way upon an array of shapes for the new season. From Diana, Princess of Wales to Sophie, Countess of Wessex, leopard spots have consistently been a royal go-to throughout the years. Even Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II hasn’t been able to resist the urge of donning a leopard print coat on occasion. Emblazoned upon espadrilles, wedges and sneakers, the big cat’s markings are sure to make a statement at any soirée. Dress up your denim with an animalistic energy or add an element of sexiness to a little black dress for full feline fabulousness.
