Fairfax & Favor are delighted to announce our support for The Country Food Trust (CFT) by becoming one of their Key Supporters. The CFT is a charity with rural roots, producing and distributing delicious, protein-based meals to organisations that feed people in need. Funded by individuals, companies, shoots and charitable trusts, the charity has built up an impressive countryside community with a great cause behind it.

The charity recently hit their initial target of providing one million meals to people in need one year ahead of plan and is now steaming ahead with renewed vigour with the aim of feeding even more people in need whilst helping to raise awareness of the increasing issue of food poverty across the UK.

The CFT’s research into food poverty showed that charities receive very little donated protein of any type, so they came up with a delicious solution to this problem by creating two pheasant-based meals to distribute to the hungry: ‘The Country Casserole’ and ‘The Country Curry’. These meals do not require refridgeration, have an extended shelf life and can be eaten straight from the pouch if no reheating facilities are on hand.

As a Key Supporter, we donate an annual sum to the CFT, which allows them to focus their efforts on putting every penny raised into feeding more people in need.

Tim Woodward, CEO of The Country Food Trust said of our support:

“We’d like to thank Fairfax and Favor so much for their support, without which we simply couldn’t continue to do what we do. We’re proud to partner with such a renowned British brand and look forward to a long and fruitful relationship.”
