Forget the blue and white Bretons, flimsy wicker beach bags and salt-decayed flip flops, this season we’re embracing a different take on the classic ‘Best of British’ summer style. To showcase the launch of our brand-new SS19 collection and in keeping with last years’ experience, (a rather wet and wild spring summer photoshoot in Menorca), our team set off to the windswept Norfolk Coast, graced by another bout of traditionally miserable Great British weather.

Despite the bitterly cold whirling winds across the dunes, our spirits were not dampened as we were all mesmerised by the beautiful locations. A picture-perfect setting for a Spring Summer photoshoot, Wells-Next-The-Sea and Holkham, a shoreline dotted accordingly with cutesy coloured beach huts. Moored up at our disposal, a beautiful 1950’s fishing boat, supplied by the Coastal Exploration Co. complete with real-life rugged skippers Dom, Colin and George.

What’s a Fairfax & Favor photoshoot without the appearance of a dog or two? Resident F&F doggos Chaos and Amber who are rather accustomed to being in front of the lens, revelled the opportunity to take centre stage on the secluded sand dunes with our lovely models and even allowed the token game of ball in between shots.

Several finger-numbing clicks of the camera later, heated seats and cups of tea in plastic cups couldn’t have been more of a luxury. The team headed off to the scenic surrounds of the Holkham Estate for a quick luncheon, destination: Victoria Inn, to quaff locally sourced fish & chips, just the ticket to help subside the chattering teeth and salvage the feeling in everyone’s limbs!

Irony has it, that yes, this shoot would have undoubtedly been the perfect platform for our expansive collection of long, warming boots, complimented with chunky knits and anoraks. Sadly, ‘tisn’t’ the season for such; our new collection features a whole new array of summer staples and we are incredibly excited about them.

With our fabulous stylist Natalie Harper-Howell on hand, we successfully captured the essence of TRUE Great British Summertime, featuring our new seasonal favourites, including the Brancaster Sandal, Salcombe & Padstow Deck Shoes, Hemsby Ladies loafer, oh the list goes on, you’ll just have to try for yourselves.

After a long day of glacial winds and goose pimples, that’s a wrap on the SS19 shoot. A huge thank you to the whole team for a jolly big effort, plus a special mention to Wooley and George from Norfolk Locations and Dom, Colin and George from Coastal Exploration Co.

Keep an eye out for the SS19 collection, launching this May!
