Care information
Leather and suede are both natural materials, so slight variations in the grain and surface can occur. When starting to wear any suede or leather products, excess dye can transfer, especially when exposed to heat, pressure, excess wear, or moisture. This will cease after a couple of wears, but care should be taken when wearing lighter coloured fabrics.
We advise to brush the suede initially to remove spare fibres, and wear in leather products around the house, and on a soft surface, for an hour or two before wearing continuously. When exposed to wet, they will saturate until dry - which can dry out pure leather products. We advise to leave to dry naturally, away from direct heat sources.
Always read the directions of the care product, and test on an inconspicuous area first. Fairfax & Favor cannot be held responsible for inproper use of care or cleaning products. For any concerns, please contact our Customer Service team.
Treat your boots with either Suede & Nubuck Protector once a month or Liquiproof Premium Protector every couple of months. We advise spraying the Suede and Nubuck protector lightly and sparingly from at least 30cm away and leave to prove for an hour. Alternatively, if you are using the Liquiproof Premium Protector, apply sparingly section by section on the material, brushing it in with a soft brush until the suede has been completely covered.
Coloured suede & leather can transfer with wear onto other fabrics and leave a mark. Likewise, dark coloured fabrics (like denim!) can also transfer onto lighter coloured suede and/ or leathers. This is perfectly normal and won't be covered under our warranty.

Leather is a natural material and requires oil/moisture to remain soft and supple. To prevent the material from drying out, hardening, or cracking, we advise treating at least once a month with Renapur Leather Balsam. Please use a sponge or brush to work the cream into both the toe creases, flex points and around the sole unit of the boot.

Haircalf is a very delicate material. The shedding of the hair is a natural characteristic of the material. Please note, that the shedding can and will be accelerated through regular friction or rubbing against other materials. Whilst Suede and Nubuck Protector can be used on haircalf products, we please advise you spot test the product initially as the protector can be absorbed into the individual hair fibres, causing it to appear darker.

For tougher stains, Liquiproof Premium Cleaner can be used, provided it is diluted heavily. If the product is affected by dirt or mud, please leave to dry naturally, and remove with a soft brush or a lightly damp neutral coloured microfibre cloth.

If the area is still dirty, please use the Liquiproof Premium Cleaner Please ensure you dilute the solution heavily with warm water prior to use. If your boots get wet, leave them to dry naturally and brush gently. Should a corrosive or highly pigmented liquid land on your boots, we advise to soak this up immediately and wipe with a lightly damp, neutral-coloured microfibre cloth. If the stain does not disappear, we please ask you send the boots to a professional cleaner.

We advise using a damp cloth to clean and wipe over with a dry cloth immediately. When brushing, ensure this is done lightly and with the direction of the hair.
At this time, we do not recommend any products for regular care of the eco fill material. To clean, please wash by hand with a PH Neutral detergent. Do not rub, soak, or wring out. To dry, please lay flat and ensure it is completely dry before storing.
We advise storing all your beloved Fairfax & Favor products away from heat, damp, and direct sunlight. For mid-calf and tall boots, we recommend using our Boot Trees to fill out the calf, to maintain the original shape and to prevent the ankle area from creasing. Where it is possible, please store your boots in dustbags and the blue box received. For extra protection, we recommend our Signature Boot Bag.

If the ankle or foot feels too tight when first trying on your new boots, our own secret trick is the ‘freezer bag trick’. Please pop your foot in a plastic bag or freezer bag, place your foot in the boot then push your weight through your heel. The bag will remove the friction allowing you to slip your foot into the boot with greater ease. After a couple of wears, the suede and/or leather will stretch ensuring you do not require the freezer bag any longer.
Please watch our YouTube video for more information found here.As our boots are made from natural materials, they will give with time and wear. The leather or suede will soften, and the material will drop slightly, specifically around the ankle area. Both features are naturally occurring characteristics of both materials and there should be no concern when this does happen.
Unfortunately, we do not provide a bespoke service for any products.
As all of our boots are made from natural occurring materials, the length will drop marginally through use, specifically around the ankle area. We estimate this between 0.5-1 cm. Should you still require assistance we advise purchasing our Heel Raiser.
Unfortunately, we do not offer a petite or tall style range in any of our products.
