CARE RECOMMENDATIONS

Leather is a natural material and needs oil/moisture to keep it soft and supple. To stop it drying out, hardening and cracking, treat it at least once a month with Renapur Leather Balsalm. Use a sponge or cloth and work the cream into creases and joins of your Ashwell.

Due to the high shine nature of the leather, our croc collections can wear differently to our other items with use. Friction against other materials can cause scuffing on the leather particularly where frequent and/or prolonged.

Leather & Nubuck

CARE RECOMMENDATIONS

Once you’ve used your Fairfax & Favor Blickling belt a bit, you can treat your belt with either Suede & Nubuck Protector once a month or Liquiproof Premium Protector every couple of months – more often if you're wearing them a lot.
Spray the Suede & Nubuck Protector lightly and sparingly from at least a foot away and leave to prove for an hour.
If you’re using Liquiproof Premium Protector, apply sparingly section by section, brushing it in with a soft brush until the nubuck has been covered.

For the leather areas of your belt, which is a natural material, it needs oil/moisture to keep it soft and supple. To stop it drying out, hardening and cracking, treat it at least once a month with Renapur Leather Balsalm.
Use a sponge or brush and work the cream into both the creases and around the leather joins of your Blickling belt.

CLEANING RECOMMENDATIONS

Remove dried dirt or marked fibres on the nubuck by using a soft suede brush, brushing in the direction of the nubuck. If it’s still dirty, use Liquiproof Eco Cleaner on light marks but dilute it heavily in warm water. If the belt gets wet, leave it to dry naturally and brush. If anything else gets onto your belt, soak it up immediately and then wipe over with a lightly damp, neutral-coloured microfibre cloth.

HairCalf

CARE RECOMMENDATIONS

Our interchangeable tassels are easily swapped by unscrewing the back of the tassel fastener to separate it from the front shield and removing from the D-ring. Please ensure you screw them on tightly as they can become loose while walking.

Whilst Suede & Nubuck Protector can be used on the haircalf, we recommend spot-testing first as the protector can be drawn in the individual hair fibres and make it appear darker.

Due the nature of the material, some shedding of the hair may occur over time. As Haircalf is a naturally occurring material, the shedding of the hair may occur with wear – please note, that the shedding can be accelerated through regular friction or rubbing that is expected with use.

Your bag's handles take all the strain so may experience more wear than other areas of the bag. All our bags are tested for weight load according to the size however take care not to overfill your handbag as this will cause additional stress on the stitching and materials.

Naturally occurring PH oils on your dogs skin and hair can penetrate and build up on leather causing it to weaken over time. Eventually, body oils affect leather by causing it to start to crack and the stitching can start to fray. This can be prevented by the suitable care of the Collar.

Delicate hand wash only, inside out with PH neutral detergent - do not rub , do not soak, and do not wring out or iron. Dry Flat, and don't store damp.

The hardware on this product has a lacquer finish to protect it against daily wear however, it is not built to withstand abrasive chemicals or any form of machine washing.

MAINTENANCE RECOMMENDATIONS

Store away from heat, damp, and direct sunlight. Lay flat if possible; otherwise, use a broad hanger instead of the decorative loop to help prevent wrinkles.

As an item with our signature chevron stitching, this is not a waterproof design. The water-resistant treatment that is applied at production is not impermeable and may wear away with washing & wear of the product.

Don't be tempted to place on or near direct heat as this may cause it to change shape.

Naturally occurring PH oils on your dogs skin and hair can penetrate and build up on leather causing it to weaken over time. Eventually, body oils affect leather by causing it to start to crack and the stitching can start to fray. This can be prevented by the suitable care of the Collar.

We recommend Hicks & Brown Wool Felt Hat Protector Spray as this provides an additional layer of protection against the elements to our wool felt hats. They are water resistant and therefore fine in a light rain shower. If your hat becomes wet, we advise to shake off excess water and leave to dry slowly indoors. Don't be tempted to place on or near direct heat as this may cause it to change shape.

CLEANING RECOMMENDATIONS

We recommend using a lint clothes roller to remove any dust or dirt. For stubborn marks, a damp sponge can be used or alternatively a hat brush. If dealing with mud please allow the mud to dry first before trying to clean.

MAINTENANCE RECOMMENDATIONS

We advise to keep away from direct sunlight, damp, heat and keep safe in the box provided, hang it on a hook or place it flat in your wardrobe ensuring nothing is squashing it, which over time would cause it it to misshape. If you find you are in between hat sizes we recommend putting a Hat Resizer in the inside of the headband, at the back of the hat, to provide a snugger fit. They are also particularly useful for use on a windy day to keep your hat more secure on your head.

Once you've used it a bit, you can treat your Windsor Minature Shopping Bag with either Suede & Nubuck Protector once a month or Liquiproof Premium Protector every couple of months – more often if you’re wearing it a lot.

Suede & Nubuck Protector lightly and sparingly from at least a foot away and leave to prove for an hour.
If you’re using Liquiproof Premium Protector, apply sparingly section by section, brushing it in with a soft brush in a downward motion until the suede has been covered.

If your Shopping Tote Holder becomes wet, leave to dry naturally and brush. If anything else gets onto your holder, soak it up immediately and then wipe over with a lightly damp, neutral-coloured microfibre cloth.

For the Nylon tote bag, if any dirt gets on the bag please spot wash using a neutral coloured micro-fibre cloth, gently with non abrasive detergents. Do not iron, do not tumble dry,do not leave in sunlight to dry.
