Being a Norfolk based company, Fairfax & Favor welcomes any opportunity to support local charity events. When such an occasion arose just 40 minutes north of our offices at the gorgeous Holkham Hall we were happy to get involved. On September 24th, wellbeing entrepreneur Liz Earle hosted a champagne lunch fundraiser for the Wellbeing of Women charity. She was joined by former National Newspaper Editor and current vice-chairman of Wellbeing of Woman, Eve Pollard, for an afternoon of discussion about the best-kept secrets in mid-life wellbeing. Accompanying a few Monica Vinader pieces of jewellery in the auction was our Loxley Shoulder Bag in tan.

Wellbeing of Women got in touch with us after the event:

“Thank you for so much for supporting our fundraising lunch with Liz Earle at Holkham Hall with a fabulous handbag for our auction. It raised a considerable amount, so thank you. Your own generosity helps us continue our vital work to help save and change the lives of thousands of women and babies. We are thrilled it has helped us raise in excess of £25,000!”

Wellbeing of Women is Britain’s leading charity in finding cures and treatments in women’s health. Their work focuses on women and babies, raising money to invest in medical research and treatments for menopause, womb cancer, premature birth and recurrent miscarriage prevention. Perhaps most notably, they were a driving force behind the introduction of the HPV vaccination to immunise schoolgirls from cervical cancer. Recently it was announced that this treatment would be extended to include the protection of schoolboys from other cancers. This is just one example of the enormous positive footprint the charity has left on women’s health.

“There is still much work to be done to find new cures, early diagnoses and preventions that will help our daughters, their children and their children’s children.” – Wellbeing of Women
