In 2018, Fairfax & Favor were proudly named as title sponsor for our first EVER International Horse Trials, and what a glorious event it turned out to be! If you missed out don’t worry, you can catch up with the highlights here.

This year, we were chomping at the bit ready to do it all again… so without further ado, roll on round two of the Fairfax & Favor Rockingham International Horse Trials 2019! To celebrate another year of this fantastic partnership, we launched a brand spanking, beautiful new Limited-Edition Rockingham in Navy & Tan, make sure you nab yours whilst you still can! Shop here.

Over the course of the weekend, we were delighted to open the Castle doors to a handful of press and bloggers, many of whom had travelled from each end of the country, to the heart of Leicestershire to join the merriment. First on the agenda, a champagne reception and breakfast in the Castle (just the ticket to brighten up a drizzly Saturday morning), hosted by Castle owner James Saunders-Watson who gave a chance for our guests to delve deep into the history of their medieval surroundings. Very kindly sponsored by Pol Roger.

Sponsored rider Bubby Upton shared her expertise on a guided course walk up to the brand-new Fairfax & Favor Complex, designed by competition winner Alice Tilley. Perched on the top loop of the undulating cross country course, the complex housed the Fairfax & Favor Marquee, the perfect location for a spot of Elevenses. Our guests were treated to magnificent views of the Castle’s Great Parkland with the chance to watch close-up action of the 2* unfold in front of them.

Once treated to a delicious lunch in the Hospitality Marquee, a few guests found themselves piled into top-of-the-range Land Rovers as they set off for a white-knuckled journey on the Land Rover Experience, a great chance to witness a different kind of horse-power all together as they tackled the testing all-terrain off-road course.

Back to the buzz of the show ground, dotted around the main arena amidst the show jumping action, exhibitors including the likes of Whale Of A Time, Daltons, Hiho Silver and Caroline Nicholls were open, presenting a fantastic shopping experience for all to enjoy.

As the sun (thankfully it did eventually make an appearance!) set on a fantastic day of eventing action, the scene was set for another Fairfax & Favor Drinks Party, a perfect opportunity for everybody to sit back and unwind after a fabulous day at the Horse Trials.

We’d like to thank our guests, the riders and in particular the organisers and Bloxham PR for another brilliant year, here’s to Fairfax & Favor Rockingham International 2020!
