The Grand Shop Opening: Fairfax & Favor Moves to Holt.
Yes… you read that right! Last week we celebrated one giant step forward for Fairfax & Favor as we moved into our first-ever physical shop at 23 High Street, Holt, Norfolk. For the past two months, we have been renovating the old store space so that it meets all the expectations of our amazing customers. Soft cream contrasts royal Fairfax & Favor blue creating an elegant, sophisticated interior.

“The aesthetic is exactly as you would expect with the beautiful displays instantly recognisable to those who have visited their trade-stands” (@felicityinoxford).

This sophistication is exemplified by the pièce-de-résistance, a cream marble fireplace from local brand After the Antique coupled with royal blue leather and gold fenders from the Norfolk Fender Company. The ultimate backdrop to shop in style this Autumn.

“The shop is beautifully decorated with a lovely, boutique feel, providing that perfect shopping experience” (@suffolksisters).

It gets better… The shop comes equipped with its very own permanent Twelve Keys Gin bar so that you can (literally) shop till you drop.

“I’ve guzzled several of their gins before on the F&F stand across the country fair circuit but tonight they were on fire” (@hannahbrooklawson).

Indulge yourself with this locally distilled gin while you browse our new Autumn collection or get on trend with our bestsellers range.

“We want to make shopping a really fun, enjoyable experience and so we thought why not build a bar in the shop?" said our CEO, Marcus Fountain.

With the death of the high street becoming an increasingly prevalent issue in today’s retail climate we wanted to reshape people’s shopping experience.

“It’s so nice to see someone adding to our ever disappearing high streets” (@charlieebarley).

Marcus emphasises, ‘we couldn't have opened the shop without our online business doing so well but we believe in the high street and we'll never give up on going to the shows.’ We think this shop will be a great opportunity to build stronger relationships with our customers. So please, if you’re around the area or travelling past, come visit us!

To celebrate this milestone in the Fairfax & Favor journey we invited 20 friends and ambassadors for lunch at The Bedingfeld Arms in Oxborough. Amongst the guest list was country lifestyle influencers and bloggers Charlie Barley, Lexi Wrench, Augusta Rose, and Emma Foot. These lovely ladies were accompanied by Lady Helen of Lady Magazine and a representative from In The Country magazine. Other guests included producer and presenter Hannah Brook Lawson, GB Shooting Team member Matt Coward-Holley, and menswear and lifestyle blogger James Benjamin.

”The food was exceptional and the rooms offered a really comfortable nights sleep, plus the location is absolutely beautiful!” (@beautyinthecotswolds).

Our guests entered the private dining room to be greeted by a gift bag filled with Fairfax & Favor goodies including our new limited edition Christmas tassels (soon to be released so keep an eye out). After we stuffed them with food and presents, we headed over to the Fairfax & Favor HQ at Narford Hall for a tour of the stable offices and the opportunity to browse our complete range in the showroom. If they weren’t full already, they certainly were after the array of cakes and treats we laid out for them.

“We were given a tour of the former stable block by Marcus who really brought the Fairfax and Favor story to life, from the first stable they used for storage to the newest additions to keep up with demand, he pointed out the quirky period features that had been carefully maintained and the challenges they faced on their journey. I loved seeing the passion that has gone into building this brand and cannot wait to see where it will take them next.” (@agirlandagun).

From there, we bussed the group to the new shop in Holt where our lively party increased to around 70 for a drinks party-stroke-opening ceremony. Gin cocktails and canapés circulated as our guests mingled and browsed. All in all, the evening was a great success. It was so special for us to be able to bring together people who have supported us throughout the years. The new shop feels like a landmark of how far we have come since those first horse trials back in 2013. We are so glad we got to share such an important moment with all of our friends and families.

“I loved hearing their stories on how they started up, they are truly an inspiration.” (@emmafoot724).
